Pokémon Delta Reign: Chase Cards, Release Date and Prices

Mega Rayquaza ex leads the next English Pokémon TCG set. Delta Reign is the English version of Japan's Storm Emeralda, which came out in July, so there's already real price data on which cards will matter most.

Quick answer: Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution Delta Reign releases on November 6, 2026. It has over 135 cards led by Mega Rayquaza ex, including 6 Special Illustration Rares, 14 Illustration Rares and 17 Ultra Rares. It's the English version of Japan's Storm Emeralda (July 31, 2026), where the most valuable cards today are Mega Rayquaza ex 113/076 at about $747 and the Mega Rayquaza ex Special Art Rare 110/076 at about $266. In the last four Mega Evolution sets, 27 of the 28 Japanese Special Art Rares and Mega Ultra Rares came to the English set as Special Illustration Rares or Mega Hyper Rares.

Delta Reign chase cards: what the Japanese set tells us

Storm Emeralda has 113 cards: 76 in the main set and 37 secret rares numbered above 076. Here are its most valuable cards right now, with near-mint prices in US dollars for the Japanese printing. The card names are translations of the Japanese names, and the English names can differ at release.

Mega Rayquaza ex carries the set. Its two top versions sell for about $747 and $266, and the next card, Raikou ex, is at $44. Every other Special Art Rare sells for under $25 in Japan. That's the same shape as Phantasmal Flames, where Mega Charizard X ex was worth far more than anything else in the set.

Do Japanese chase cards carry over to the English set?

Almost always. In the last four main Mega Evolution sets, 27 of the 28 Japanese Special Art Rares and Mega Ultra Rares appeared in the English set as Special Illustration Rares or Mega Hyper Rares, a few of them under a different translated name. Every Mega Ultra Rare made it. The one exception was Oricorio ex in Phantasmal Flames, which has no Special Illustration Rare in English. Here's how the top cards compare today:

English set (release)CardJapanese priceEnglish price
Phantasmal Flames (Nov 2025)Mega Charizard X ex, SAR / SIR$706$590
Phantasmal Flames (Nov 2025)Mega Charizard X ex, MUR / MHR$658$189
Perfect Order (Mar 2026)Mega Zygarde ex, MUR / MHR$169$88
Perfect Order (Mar 2026)Meowth ex, SAR / SIR$71$84
Chaos Rising (May 2026)Mega Greninja ex, MUR / MHR$432$114
Chaos Rising (May 2026)Mega Greninja ex, SAR / SIR$225$109
Pitch Black (Jul 2026)Mega Darkrai ex, MUR / MHR$392$125
Pitch Black (Jul 2026)Mega Darkrai ex, SAR / SIR$162$141

Two patterns stand out. The English Mega Hyper Rare sells for 26% to 52% of the Japanese Mega Ultra Rare in every set. The top English Special Illustration Rare holds up better, at 49% to 87% of the Japanese price, and some smaller cards sell for more in English: Morpeko ex from Pitch Black is about $25 in Japan and $58 in English.

These are prices on October 27, 2026, months after each English release, not launch-week prices. New-set prices move fast in the first weeks after release, and Rayquaza is a very popular Pokémon, so read these ranges as history, not as a forecast for Delta Reign.
